About me
… I am Italian by origin with a Russian touch, I live mainly in Mallorca and I feel very Mediterranean. I started drawing and painting a bit like everyone else, as a child, but unlike the others I have never stopped. I have never stopped because I was lucky enough to grow up in an art-sensitive family that understood my choice in life and also because I have always felt the profound power of art, on me and on others.
I firmly believe that one of the characteristics of an artistic product is that it contains an aspect of self-sufficiency. Awards, training, curriculum lose importance in front of the power of an artistic product that is able to communicate independently of its author, because there are thoughts that endure and are inherent in the human being in general, not only in the author. Man has been telling stories, singing, dancing, making music and painting since prehistoric times not only because it is what he sees or hears, but he makes art because it is what he thinks and feels. The paintings that remain in our memory are the ones that change us and we consider them important because they first make us feel and then think: they contain an unspoken message, silent stories, silent poems.
I use a pictorial language that moves between symbols, poetry, dreams, eroticism, metaphors to send positive messages to the deepest part of our being, messages that require a small mental effort, a pleasant effort similar to that of a walk in a park when you discover something unexpected and so painting becomes a pleasure to see and also to understand.
