Plankton Carousel

Kinetic installation consisting of a sequence of carousels with multiple types of plankton. The semi-transparency of the pieces well reproduces the characteristics of the various species, sometimes gelatinous, sometimes crystalline and sometimes calcareous.

Conceived by architect Antonio Obrador and built in mutual collaboration, it is located in the Cap Rocat hotel, Mallorca. The regenerative experience of this place is perfectly complemented by this installation entitled ‘Thoughts have no weight, they take it away’.

This kinetic installation occupies the hall of the Hotel Rey del Mediterrani enhancing its dimensions. The carousel, thanks to the autonomous movement that the air currents in the hall generate, always creates different configurations while maintaining the perfect balance between the elements.

Sardines Shoal

Kinetic installation inspired by sardine shoals: it wraps around itself, opens, rotates, chases itself thus creating a hypnotic effect, where every single piece rocks and sways reflecting a kaleidoscope of colors coming out of the shadows.
